TOKU KORERO NA JASON

ME AND MY GOALS     2013

That is me ^

I am very good at math because I can answer any question like 7 x 8 = 56.  I really like math but I think I can get better.  Once upon a time I was awesome at sport and good at running now I can hardly even bend down but when I do bend down my bones click. When you see me run I am the slimiest thing you will ever see in a life time so watch out, extremely sticky.   By the way I am OATY!!!!! .  I want to improve on my writing because my mum is always complaining about my writing. When I am really sad I am good at hand writing but when I am happy I am not neat.

  1. AWESOME at SOCCER.
  2. PRO at TOUCH.
  3. FETHER IS MY FIRST NAME.
  4. QUACK is MY MIDDLE NAME.
     5.BEAK IS MY LAST NAME.

ROOM 4 QUINNEYS BUSH 2013

Day one 10.15am when we first got here we had a meeting about the land and stuff. We went on a walk around the land and stuff.   The best thing about camp is spot light because we were allowed to go all around Quinneys.

Pluto
  1. Pluto was thought to be the god to whom all men must eventually go. Romans believed him to be the god of the underworld. In Greek mythology, he is known as Hades
  2. Because Pluto is so small you would be very light if you visited. If you weigh 70 pounds (32 kg) on Earth, you would only weigh 4 pounds (2.5 kg) on Pluto.
  3. Pluto has 4 moons. The largest is named Charon. Charon is only slightly smaller than its parent Pluto. For this reason, Pluto and Charon are often called a double planet system
  4. Pluto revolves around the Sun in an orbit that is not exactly circular like the rest of the planets. Rather, Pluto's orbit is more of an oval or egg shape. Because of this, Pluto will orbit inside of Neptune's orbit, which makes Pluto closer to the Sun than Neptune at times.

APES by Jason Foxley

Most non-human hominoids are rare or endangered. The chief threat to most of the endangered
species is loss of tropical rainforest habitat, though some populations are further imperiled by
hunting forbushmeat.
The "lesser apes" are the gibbon family, Hylobatidae with sixteen medium-sized species. Their
major differentiating characteristic is their long arms, which they use to brachiate through the
trees. As an evolutionary adaptation to this arboreal lifestyle, their wrists are ball and socket
joints. The largest of the gibbons, the siamang, weighs up to 14 kg (31 lb). In comparison, the
smallest "great ape" is the bonobo at 34 to 60 kg (75 to 132 lb).
\There are four types of apes like Gorillas, Orang-Utas, Chimpanzees and Gibbons. People more
often confuse apes with monkeys but they are totally two different species. Apes are way larger than
monkeys and unlike monkeys they do not have tails. The most significant difference between apes and monkeys is that apes are far more intelligent than monkeys. These four types of apes are under a threat of extinction as their population has been decreased sharply because of the destruction of
their natural habitats. Read the names, habits, characteristics and living places of apes.

Gorillas

Gorillas are the largest of the great apes. There are two types of species of gorilla eastern gorilla and
western gorilla. They are gentle creatures living in family groups led by a big male, the silverback.
When they are old enough to breed, young females leave and join another group. Young males also
leave, and may wander alone for years before forming a new group. They are found in different parts
of Africa like Angola, Burundi (reports suggest that they have possibly extinct), Cameroon, Central
African Republic, Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Guinea, Nigeria, Rwanda and Uganda.
Western Gorillas are further classifies into two types western lowland gorillas and cross river gorillas.
The western lowland gorilla estimated population is about 94,500 whereas river side gorillas are
Africas most endangered great apes; there are only 200 river side gorillas left. The population size
of eastern mountain gorillas is 700 and of eastern lowland gorillas is estimated to be between 2000-
16,900. The eastern lowland gorillas have received most extreme population reductions with an
estimated 70% decline since 1994.
